Every time I step into the flower market at dawn, I’m not just looking for colors. I’m looking for memories.

When we curate the Secret Soul bunches for our Saturday ritual, we aren't just acting as a florist in Liverpool city centre, we are storytellers. The flowers I choose are the ones that have shaped my life, long before Falkner Flowers was ever a dream.

My mum has always loved Tiger Lilies, but their scent was always a bit too bold for me. Instead, I find myself reaching for Lily of the Valley. They are my "sprinkle of Mum"—a delicate, humble tribute to the greatest woman I know. They carry that same maternal strength, just in a quieter, softer way.

Growing up, the scent of Lavender was the constant backdrop of my nana’s house. It was her way of bringing the wild indoors to keep us calm. Then, there is the Eucalyptus. I have been fascinated with the soothing, medicinal scent of Eucalyptus for as long as I can remember. It’s more than just greenery; it’s a breath of clarity. Today, I add these to our bunches for that same reason: to bring a sense of peace and a fresh, silver-green energy to the busy urbanite.

Whenever I see Chamomile, I’m instantly transported back to spring term at school. I’m sitting on the grass, weaving daisy chains and headbands with sticky fingers. It’s the ultimate flower of innocence. To balance that softness, I love the bold, architectural statement of an Allium. It’s a "look at me" flower that brings a sense of art-led drama to the wrap.

Finally, there is the Sugarbush (Protea). I’ve always been fascinated by how they dry out; they keep their form so perfectly, defying the typical lifecycle of a bloom. They represent the "Zero Waste" heart of what we do here—beauty that lingers long after the Saturday ritual has ended.
